Learning continues even after the school day ends. Our auxiliary programs provide our Lower and Middle School students the opportunities to continue that learning in subject areas they love. We have programs in sports, music, academics and so much more.
Spring Enrichment 2025 - Session II
Join us for our Second Session of Spring Enrichment Programming in 2025! Programs will be held twice a week for 3 weeks, beginning the week of April 28th for a total of 6 sessions.
*Please note the Friday program starts earlier and is held once a week for 4 weeks.

Beginner Soccer Shots: Grades 1-2, Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 1-2, 3:00-4:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Monday, 4/28 Soccer Shots is a leader in youth soccer development. Our nationally recognized non-competitive skills program offers a high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer. Each day contains the perfect mix of reviewing previously learned and new skills. Character Development: Our innovative curriculum extends beyond physical activity to incorporate values like respect, sharing, teamwork, encouragement and cooperation. The enhancement of a child’s coordination, balance and agility is often seen immediately, but it is the building blocks being created for a life-long love of sports that have the strongest impact. Soccer Skills: Each day, we focus on having fun while guiding children through imaginative games that teach basic soccer skills. Our coaches are energetic and enthusiastic, are great teachers, and love working with children. Active Lifestyle: Children benefit with increased psychomotor development through fun fitness activities. Soccer Shots encourages the development of active lifestyle habits. Seha Karate: Grades 1-4, Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 1-4, 3:00-4:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Monday, 4/28 *All belt levels are welcome Sensei Pettus is back! Sensei returns with this beginner Karate class, you will learn the basic fundamentals as well as self-defense techniques. The class will promote physical fitness and demonstrate respect for yourself and others. You will learn to practice self-control and you will have the opportunity to earn traditional belt advancement. Belt and Key Chain all provided! Come join us! Ms. Dorito's Candy Lab: Grades 1-4, Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 1-4, 3:00-4:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Monday, 4/28 Welcome to Candy Lab, where the world of candy meets creativity and science! This Spring, students will dive into a world of sugary experiments, candy-making fun, and delicious artistry. From the science of sugar to crafting candy-inspired masterpieces, Candy Lab is the ultimate destination for kids with a sweet tooth and a curious mind! WePickle: Grades 1-4, Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 1-4, 3:00-4:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Monday, 4/28 Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It’s adaptability makes it an ideal choice for individuals of diverse abilities and ages. This rapid growing sport has transcended traditional boundaries and has become a symbol of inclusivity and community. The objective of WePickle is to introduce and promote the sport by providing an intro to pickleball class at Porter-Gaud School. The class aims to provide students with a structured recreational activity that promotes physical fitness, social interaction, teamwork, and skill development. WePickle aims to create a positive and inclusive experience for everyone. By offering this class, we have the opportunity to enhance the overall well-being and enjoyment of the students while fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. Benefits: 1. Physical Fitness: Pickleball provides a low-impact aerobic workout that improves cardiovascular health, agility, and coordination. 2. Social Interaction: Participation in group activities fosters socialization skills, communication, and teamwork. 3. Skill Development: Learning and mastering pickleball techniques can boost self-esteem, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. Flag Football w/ Coach Brown: Grades 2-4, Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 2-4, 3:00-4:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Monday, 4/28 Ready, set, hike! In this fun and inclusive camp students will have an opportunity to learn and play flag-football! Each lesson will consist of skill work, agility and speed training, football fundamentals, and game-play! Students will develop key skills to become great football players and teammates! (cleats and active clothes are recommended!) Bricks 4 Kidz: MINDSTORMS® EV3 Robotics - All About Sports; Grades 3-6, Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-4:45pm Grades 3-6, 3:15-4:45pm on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Monday, 4/28 Our MINDSTORMS® EV3 robotics class taps into the latest EV3 and MINDSTORMS® technologies as well as use programming and our own robot models. Children learn the basics of EV3 graphic programming language, bring real projects to life and see the results of their learning. No prior LEGO® robotics experience is required. This robotics class offers a variety of long-lasting benefits, including: creative thinking, building teamwork skills, enhancing problem-solving abilities, and teaching computer programming. In this 6-week program we will be creating models that are "all about sports". |

Bricks 4 Kidz: Journey with Sharks; Grades 1-3, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 1-3, 3:00-4:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, 4/29 Ignite your child's curiosity, fuel their passion and unlock their full potential with our Bricks 4 Kids Lego STEAM programs! In this 6-program series, children will embark on an underwater adventure where sea creatures come to life through LEGO building! Aspiring Shark Biologists will work in pairs to construct LEGO models of various sharks & sea creatures while learning about their fascinating habitats! Mermaids on the Move: Grades 1-4, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 1-4, 3:00-4:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, 4/29 This program is taught by a certified mermaid who is sharing her passion for the ocean with sea-inspired crafts, games, breathing exercises, and scientific excitements. Students will have fun while learning about ocean life and how we can be environmentally conscious with our behaviors. Topics to be covered: Microplastics, Oysters Roles in Our Ecosystem, Stormwater Runoff, Shark Tooth Identification, Sea Turtles on the Beach, and Dolphin Behavior and Echolocation. Coach Tate's Sports and Crafts!: Grades 1-4, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 1-4, 3:00-4:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, 4/29 Join Auxiliary's fan favorite, Coach Gretchen Tate, for her sports and crafts program! Students will learn the basics of a few different sports; basketball, volleyball, soccer and more! Combined with a variety of different crafting activities, this program is a perfect balance of exercise, sports, and using your imagination and creative thinking to bring crafts to life! Tennis w/ Coach Brown: Grades 1-4, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-4:30pm Grades 1-4, 3:00-4:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, 4/29 Join Coach Brown for his tennis program! Designed for players that would like to advance their skills and technique, instruction will center around the preparation, balance and commitment that it takes to be an efficient tennis player. Students will learn to develop their overall tennis game. This program will be for those that will stay focused and have already developed a tennis game at the beginner level. Together, they'll craft cool 3D worlds and show off their awesome designs. For those who are more advanced, there's even a chance to play around with Command Blocks and block coding found in the Minecraft Education Edition. How to play? Choose your style! Whether it's on a Windows PC using a keyboard & mouse, rocking an Xbox controller, or tapping away on a touchscreen tablet, the adventure is at your fingertips. At each club meeting, our fun-filled sessions include Minecraft building contests, where teams can dream up and design their very own worlds. But wait, there's more! We feature cool games like Star Wars Hide and Seek and the thrilling Bed Wars. Join us, and not only will you have a blast, but you'll also learn awesome skills like teaming up, thinking creatively, and problem-solving. Ready to build, play, and learn? Let's go! |

MS Co-Ed Volleyball w/ Coach Joey: Grades 5-8, Fridays 3:15-4:30pm Grades 5-8, 3:15-4:30pm on Fridays starting Friday, 4/25 4 sessions on 4/25, 5/2, 5/9 and 5/16 Bump, Set, Spike! Join Coach Joey for this beginner volleyball program after-school on Fridays. This co-ed program is open to any MS student, we will learn the basics of both beach and indoor volleyball through fun drills and games. This is a great introduction into the sport, and a great way to fine-tune your volleyball skills. We will encorporate a lot of live play and conclude with a winner-take-all tournament! ***boys are encouraged to join - PG may add a boys varsity volleyball team in the future! |
