Learning Beyond the School Day
O'Quinn Schools offer opportunities for students to learn beyond the typical school day. With options after school and during the summer, you can register your child for camps or supplements to expand their educational opportunities in a fun environment.
O'Quinn Schools uses CampBrain to assist us in registration.
Important Dates:
- Online Registration opens: Monday, December 9th at 8am
- Online Registration closes: Friday, December 20th at 6pm
- Spring Supplement start date: January 21st, 2025
- Spring Supplement end date: April 17th, 2025
- Spring Supplement make-up week: April 22nd - April 26th, 2025

Tumble Time Tumble Time is an exciting combination of gymnastics, coordination and basic body movement incorporated with rhymes and music specifically for children 2 to 6 years old. Children are taught gymnastics skills in a progression style on junior-sized Olympic style equipment. Heidi Davidson is a nationally recognized Kinder Accredited Instructor. Lowcountry Gifted Minds offers unique and exciting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) sessions where children experiment, explore, build, discover, and have FUN! Children learn through hands-on, interactive activities designed for Preschoolers ages 3-6. We nurture your child's curiosity with exciting lessons that use age-appropriate equipment to complete experiments and engineering challenges. Little Yoga Sprouts |
We introduce yoga and mindfulness in a playful, joyful setting. Through engaging games, songs, and yoga toys, we help children develop focus, coordination, self-confidence, and the tools to find inner calm. Karate |
Sensei David and Sensei Anne Pettus, owners of School of Empty Hand Art, will open the world of karate to your child while exercising their minds and bodies. Focus and discipline are buzzwords you will hear in class. Students will learn about appropriate karate behavior to use in and out of class. Play Power Sports |
It’s the wide world of sports perfect for active boys and girls 2 to 6 years of age. In Super Sports class, children learn and play multiple sports throughout the school year! We emphasize how much fun playing sports andstaying fit can be! Each week’s activities are new as we throw, catch, run, jump, kick, use our imaginations, exercise, and learn to love all the games! Some of the sports we will coach include: Hockey, Tennis, Gymnastics, American Ninja Warriors, Volleyball, Baseball, and more! Algorithms, Sequencing, Looping and Debugging! The following coding concepts will be explored and used to program robots. Señora Sonia Goldberg, our former O'Quinn Spanish teacher, a native speaker from Toledo, Spain and teacher with more than 23 years of experience working in preschool Spanish and Spanish immersion is offering a Spanish Supplement! Come and join her to get immersed into the Spanish language and culture while having lots of fun singing, reading, crafting, and practicing this beautiful language, following "Sonrisas Program." Wee Little Arts |
Wee Little Arts is a visual arts curriculum for young children that has been going strong for 24 years! Students are introduced to a range of painting techniques, both representational and abstract, and a variety of materials while creating work based on their imagination and environment. The creation of mixed-media pieces will also be explored, ensuring some exceptional work! Furthermore, in this session, students will use a modeling material to transition from working in two dimensions to create three-dimensional projects. Physical manipulation of the modeling material introduces advanced spatial relationship and motor skills. Other materials may be used as students create their own sculptures to encourage greater understanding of height, width, depth and texture. Explore the language of music through singing, movement, instruments, andfun! Nationally acclaimed Suzuki violin instructor Lisa Deakins will lead thestudents in developing their listening skills, rhythmic precision, and violintechnique through hands-on learning. With a maximum of only 12 studentsper class, your young musician will receive individualized instruction and soloperformance experience many times throughout the semester! Semesterthemes include snow, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and springtime.Students will practice with percussion and other instruments that aredesigned for your child’s specific age group. All materials are provided,including a handmade box violin and bow that your child will get to keep atthe end of the semester .
